Working with watercolor, gouache, acrylic, chalk and charcoal on paper and cardboard, Carlo Reisch condenses his visual impressions into atmospheric pictorial moments in which mood and perception become more important than the concrete description of a place. His Small Works are not mere depictions of nature, but emotional spaces shaped by light, weather and memory.

Through Reisch’s semi-abstract visual language, these motifs are transformed into studies of rhythm, movement and shifting conditions of light.

The Small Works on Paper reveal an artistic practice shaped by close observation, experimentation and the search for visual condensation. Within the reduction of format, a particular intensity emerges — concentrated pictorial spaces oscillating between representation and abstraction.
